GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - If you're looking to escape these cold temperatures, why not take a winter getaway?
Maria Anderson with Midwest Travel Service says her office has been swamped this week with people fed up with the sub-zero temperatures.
Anderson says the best way to save money is to fly out on either a Tuesday or a Wednesday. She says, on average, you should plan on spending at least $1,200 on a trip that includes non-stop airfare and all-inclusive amenities at a four or five star resort.
