ST. CLOUD, Minn. - A tip led to the arrest Thursday of an Arizona man who was busted with 33 pounds of marijuana when he got off an Amtrak train in St. Cloud.
Jason Alan Folland, 38, was arrested today after he got off the 5:15 a.m. train pulling a rolling duffel bag behind him, according to the Violent Offender Task Force. Officers knew that Folland had warrants for his arrest for a driving offense and for felony theft.
Police had also received an anonymous tip that Folland was coming to St. Cloud on the train and that he had an active warrant from Hennepin County. They also learned that Folland might have drugs with him on his trip from Oregon to St. Cloud.
Investigators found 33 pounds of marijuana with a street value of $130,000 in the duffel bag, according to the VOTF. Folland could face charges of third-degree possession of a controlled substance.
