MINNEAPOLIS - A 49-year-old Alabama woman was ticketed for speeding in southern Minnesota four times in one day.

The Minnesota State Patrol says that the four traffic stops occurred on Friday within a matter of hours. She was said to be driving as fast 112 miles per hour.

The first stop was by a State Trooper in Martin County at 2:25 p.m. after dispatchers received two separate complaints of a vehicle speeding and weaving in and out of traffic along the interstate.

The vehicle passed the trooper at 112 miles per hour. The driver was ticketed on charges of speeding, no insurance and possession of marijuana, authorities said.

The woman, who was traveling to Racine, Wis., was stopped and ticketed 20 minutes later. This time she was traveling at 99 miles per hour.

Minnesota troopers and the Wisconsin State Patrol were advised of the driving conduct and to be on the lookout for the vehicle.

About an hour and 10 minutes later, another trooper stopped the vehicle, this time traveling at 88 miles per hour, in Freeborn County.

The driver was ticketed the final time for traveling 88 miles per hour before making her way out of Minnesota into Wisconsin.

The driver faces more than $500 in fines. She will likely face increased insurance rates, authorities said.
