ST. PAUL, Minn. - Thousands of treasure hunters can put away their cold weather gear and start dreaming of next year's Winter Carnival medallion hunt.
It's because this year's search is over.
The Pioneer Press has confirmed that someone found the medallion in its annual Treasure Hunt, presented by Fury Jeep. The medallion was located the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Cherokee Park in St. Paul.
Lynn Olson-Tuma of St. Paul followed the 11th clue published in the Pioneer Press to find the elusive medallion.
The initial prize for finding the 2013 Winter Carnival Medallion is $2,500, but the finder can earn up to $10,000 if they bring in published clues and have a registered Winter Carnival button.
