MINNEAPOLIS - Hundreds of students at a Minneapolis elementary school were chased out into the cold Wednesday afternoon after a boiler explosion at their school.

Minneapolis Schools spokesperson Larissa Chinwah confirms the boiler at Lake Harriet Upper Elementary School, 4912 Vincent Avenue South in South Minneapolis, exploded around 12:30 p.m.

Seven hundred students were quickly evacuated to Minneapolis Fire Station Number 28 at 2810 West 50th Street.
