GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - The Salvation Army is hoping Twin Cities residents will keep the spirit of giving alive on Saturday, February 2nd.

Red Kettles will be set up at most Cub Foods locations throughout the metro from 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m.

CenterPoint Energy is triple the day's donations up to 30-thousand dollars.

You can also donate online or call 800-Sal-Army and designate your gift to "HeatShare."

The organization hopes to raise enough money to keep 300 families from going without heat.

Nearly 40,000 Minnesota families requested HeatShare assistance last year, but only 4,200 received it due to lack of funding.
