Police, city officials ready for President Obama's Monday visit

MINNEAPOLIS - President Obama will travel to Minneapolis today to deliver remarks and meet with local leaders and law enforcement officials about his plans to reduce gun violence.

The event will take place at the Minneapolis Police Department Special Operations Center. President Obama is scheduled to arrive at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport on Air Force One at 12:00 p.m.

In addition to speaking with leaders, President Obama plans to meet with members of the community who have been personally affected by gun violence to talk about their experiences.

Air Force One is scheduled to depart Minneapolis at 2:30 p.m.
