MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. - The principal of an east metro high school will be paid the remainder of her salary and benefits for the 2012-2013 school year after agreeing to resign her position.

West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan school district spokesperson Carrie Hilger confirmed the voluntary resignation of Henry Sibley High School principal Robin Percival, but said data privacy rules prevented her from giving the reason Percival was asked to resign.

Percival had been principal at Henry Sibley High School since 2008. She will receive $64,590 after voluntarily leaving her position effective Jan. 28.

Hilger said the district requested that Percival resign after an investigation into a complaint against her, but declined to provide further details.

Associate Principal Tom Orth will replace Percival for the rest of the school year while the district begins a search for a permanent replacement.
