MINNEAPOLIS - The RV, Vacation & Camping Show is back for another year at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
KARE 11's Bryan Piatt spent the morning checking out what this year's show has to offer, including one silver trailer that's sure to grab some attention.
Created in the Twin Cities, the Vistabule Teardrop Trailer is giving people an alternative if they want to go a step up from camping but aren't ready for an RV. Bert Taylor is making them in his own shop and putting a modern twist on the teardrop trailer, which originated in the 1930's. "I wanted to do something that was less claustrophobic so I put big windows in, put in ventilation ports and tried to eliminate that small cramped feeling." The Vistabule starts at $9,000 and features a sofa that turns into a bed and a full kitchen in the back.
Grasshaven Outdoor also shows off supplies to help any beginner camper, including a tent that can be set up in 60 seconds.
The RV, Vacation and Camping Show runs through Sunday.
