BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Due to popular demand, Ice Castles Mall of America will remain open through March 2.
Guests will continue visit the largest ice castles ever, standing at more than 40 feet tall and spanning more than two acres.
Unlike typical ice structures that are built with ice blocks, the Ice Castle is made of icicles organically grown from four million gallons of water and then fused together.
The castle joins together 50 large ice towers, creating a series of shimmering archways, tunnels walls and caverns.
At night, the castle takes on a magical look as hundreds of thousands of LED multi-colored lights illuminate the ice from within.
Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 3 to 12 and a family pack of two adults, two children for $25. For more information and operating hours, visit the Mall of America's website.
