Lacking a real auditorium and a stage, students at Zimmerman High School perform their plays in an alcove of the school's cafeteria they call the "hole in the wall."

With no funds forthcoming from the district, students and the school have embarked on their own fundraising campaign.

The school has enlisted Steve Mazan, former member of the U.S. Navy, Bay Area stand up comedian, and documentary producer ("Dying to do Letterman") to perform at a benefit to raise money for a new auditorium.

The date is Friday, February 22nd at Zabee Theater at Elk River High School at 6 p.m.  Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students.  They may be purchased at Zimmerman High School or at the door.
