BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Police say the car of a missing St. Paul woman was discovered Monday morning in a parking lot at the Mall of America (MOA).

Bloomington Police spokesman Vic Poyer says MOA security officers located 30-year-old Kira Trevino's car and notified Bloomington Police.

Poyer did not know specifics of what was found in or around the car, but says police quickly decided the situation warrants more investigation. Bloomington and St. Paul Police are now working together on the case.

Mall of America security is reviewing surveillance tapes to look for any clues about Trevino's disappearance

According to friends, Kira Trevino went missing Friday. They say she hasn't contacted family or friends in the days since. She also has not shown up for work at Delia's inside the Mall of America.

Sister Keri Anne Steger said, "This is not like her (Trevino) at all. She's very good at communicating with friends and family."

Trevino is described as a Caucasian female with should length blonde hair, 5'3" and 110 pounds. Anyone who sees her or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call St. Paul police at 651-291-1111.
