HASTINGS, Minn. -- Family and friends of Danielle Jelinek wait every day for answers to what happened to their loved one.
"It's miserable," says good friend Lindsey Sheridan. "You wait for answers and wait for a phone call."
The 27-year old went missing on December 8, 2012. She was last seen at the home of a former boyfriend in Chisago County, the same place where her shoes and cell phone were found. The former boyfriend is serving a prison sentence on an unrelated drug charge, but is still considered a person of interest.
"All we want is to know where she is. That is the closure we want," says Sheridan. "We want to move on with our lives."
A benefit to support the Jelinek is planned for March 23 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Dog House Bar and Grill.
