GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Round one pushed through earlier dropping from 1"-4" of snow this morning and snarling the commute.  The lull will help get our evening commute off and running a little easier.  The later part of the commute could be impacted by the snow as it redevelops.

A winter storm warning is posted for a large chunk of Minnesota from northwest through central and southeastern Minnesota, including the Twin Cities metro area through Tuesday.   Expect a steady light to moderate snow to redevelop tonight and last into Tuesday morning before wrapping up Tuesday afternoon to flurries.

We'll see another 3 to 6 inches overnight and another inch or so during the morning hours Tuesday. When it's said and done 6 to 10 inches will fall in the metro.

Mild temps and thawing will be back by mid to late week with highs near 40 by the weekend when we'll be looking at another possible storm system moving into the midwest. That Saturday storm, if it moves into Minnesota, will be warm enough to bring a rain/snow mixture.
