ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Paul police are following more than 50 tips surrounding the investigation into the murder of Kira Trevino.

A tip line was set up on Friday after police arrested Jeffery Trevino, Kira's husband, and charged him with two counts of second-degree murder.

With the new snowfall across the state, investigators are asking for community members, as they go through the work of removing snow, to think about where Trevino's remains might be concealed.

Police also have released a photo of Kira's 2006 white four-door Chevy Cobalt with license plate number XCC-572. Anyone who believes they could have seen the vehicle or Jeffery Trevino anywhere within 100 miles of the Twin Cities Metro Area on the Thursday night, Feb. 21, or Friday morning, Feb. 22, is asked to contact the tip line.

Investigators say Kira Trevino was last seen alive leaving the Mall of America at 9:18 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21. Over the weekend, Mall of America security noticed an abandoned car, later determined to belong to Kira Trevino.

Hours later, Trevino's husband reported her missing to police. As the investigation into her disappearance progressed authorities said they examined Kira's car and home and discovered extensive blood spatter and other evidence of a violent crime.

You can reach the St. Paul Police tip line at 651-560-3277. It also accepts text messages.
