GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Yeah, there are those sore backs from shoveling and insurance deductibles from fender benders and spin-outs, but... there is an upside to a powerful March snowstorm.
Our cameras found plenty of kids and adults smiling through the snowflakes, goofing around on sleds, snowboards and the like. It's a reminder of why people stay in Minnesota instead of turning the lights out on our four-season state, and just heading for Florida.
A special thanks to KARE 11 photojournalist Monica Hanson for putting together this love-letter to winter.
