ST. PAUL, Minn. - The debate over marriage in Minnesota is in full gear at the State Capitol. But unlike last year, the talk this year is to whether or not make it legal in Minnesota.
Last year, the conversation was put to the voters but this it's in front of lawmakers.
Groups on both sides are ramping up their campaigns.
The bill goes before a House committee next week and it appears to have enough yes votes to move it to the full House.
The same-sex marriage debate is drawing a lot of passion. On Thursday night at KARE 11 News at 10 we asked two people with a stake in the debate to share a commentary in our "Why I KARE" segment.
