MINNEAPOLIS - The Hennepin County Medical examiner has identified the two men fatally shot at an illegal "after hours" nightclub in Minneapolis early Friday.
Minneapolis police were dispatched on a shots fired call to a building on the 3800 block of Fremont Avenue North shortly after 3 a.m. When they arrived they found the bodies of 23-year-old Erick Allan Felton of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and 32-year-old Demetrius Harper of Minneapolis. Both had been shot multiple times.
Another man was wounded in the shooting and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) with at least one gunshot wound.
The city of Minneapolis says the building at 3859 Fremont Avenue North had been cited several times for zoning issues, and fines of more than $1,000 had been levied, fines that so far have gone unpaid.
Licensing officials are considering their options, including having the building shut down as a nuisance property.
So far police have reported no arrests in the double homicide.
