MAPLEWOOD, Minn. -- The search for the body of a missing St. Paul woman led investigators to a Maplewood park on Saturday.
Acting on a tip, authorities launched an official search at Keller Regional Park, which is just five minutes from Trevino's home. According to Facebook, a woman reported to police that she saw two men carrying what looked like a rug on Keller Lake between 1-2 a.m. on the night Kira disappeared.
Investigators aren't say what, if anything, they found. Volunteers searched the same area on Saturday morning and plan to be back at the park on Sunday morning.
Kira's husband, Jeffery Trevino, is being held in the Ramsey County Jail on charges of second degree murder for the death of his 30-year-old wife. Jeffery reported his wife missing on February 24, and investigators later found a "copious amount of blood" in their St. Paul home.
It was also revealed in court on Thursday that, according to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the blood found in the home belongs to Kira.
Prosecutors charged Trevino with Kira's murder even though police have yet to find her body. Investigators say there was enough evidence in their home to conclude a death occurred.
Trevino is being held in the Ramsey County Jail on one million dollars bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 29.
