GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - It's a yearly even for elementary school student to get them excited about fitness.
It's Jump Rope for Heart, by the American Heart Association.
Students can jump to raise awareness about health, or be pledged to raise funds.
One school in Brooklyn Park uses Jump Rope for Heart as a jumping point for more physical activities in their school.
Fitness expert Chris Freytag visited Park Brook Elementary to learn about the fitness programs.
