MINNEAPOLIS -- Three men have been sentenced in a Minneapolis home invasion two years ago that left one man dead.
The Hennepin County Attorney's Office says Semaj Williams, 23, was sentenced to 460 months in prison. Robert Shelby, 29, was sentenced to 426 months, and Xavier Walker, 25, received the longest sentence of 480 months.
The men were found guilty in the murder of Shea Stremcha, who was shot to death inside his home in the 2900 block of 45th Avenue South in 2011.
According to the criminal complaint, Stremcha's girlfriend was awoken to the sounds of breaking glass. She woke up Stremcha, who then went to investigate. The girlfriend said she heard a gunshot, and then saw the victim fall in the hallway. She noticed he was bleeding from his chest. Stremcha was pronounced dead on scene.
The complaint states that blood from the crime seen matched Shelby's and that a fingerprint matched Williams'.
