ST. PAUL, Minn. - After 22 weeks of being locked out, musicians of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and management have agreed on a play-and-talk proposal.

"We are excited to return to the stage as quickly as possible," said Carole Mason-Smith, Co-Chair SPCO Musicians Negotiating Committee in a news release.

The two sides have agreed on a proposal, but it won't be ratified until the society of the American Federation of Musicians reaches an agreement on media usage.

The musicians' contract expired Sept. 30. Management imposed the lockout on Oct. 21.
