MINNEAPOLIS - Thursday's snow and ice is causing some major delays at Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport.

The FAA's Air Traffic Control Command Center says arriving flights at MSP are experiencing an average delay of 1 hour and 44 minutes

Flights to Newark and Midway are experiencing delays around 1 hour. Flights to Midway Airport, however, are delayed more than 5 hours.

Chicago O'Hare Airport also has an unspecified "gate issue" meaning flights departing for Chicago O'Hare will not be allowed to depart until at or after 3:30 p.m. CDT.

If you have travel plans on Thursday or Friday, the Metropolitan Airports Commission strongly recommends you check the flight status with your airline.
