MINNEAPOLIS - On Tuesday morning, residents in the Metro woke up to a fresh coating of snow, ut even after more winter weather in April, businesses were anticipating what's to come.
"We're getting close right? We have to be getting close," smiled Ben Disch of Brookview Golf Course in Golden Valley.
Disch is done with guessing and despite the thin ice warnings near the water hazards; he's now giving out guarantees.
"To say we're antsy right now is a complete understatement. We are ready to go," he said.
Brookview's grill opened on Tuesday and the course's driving range will be ready to go by Saturday.
"How can we not be open this weekend? We're ready," Disch elaborated.
Amazingly, Target Field was ready for baseball on Tuesday. The teams canceled Monday's game due to the snow, but chilly temperatures didn't stop the team from scheduling a day/night double-header.
"We're ready for spring and we're not going to a let a little cold weather, a little snow stop us," said Twins' fan Garrett Ebling.
"This is actually my son's that I borrowed," pointed Walter Ehresmann to the Twins winter hat he wore. "I had to coerce him into letting me use it today."
Bundle up, sit in the sun, whatever it takes Twins fans, but this has to be it.
Texas comes to town this weekend and it's expected to be much warmer.
"Hopefully, Belinda will be right." smiled Ehresmann. "And it will be in the 70s this weekend, hold her to it."
