ST. CLOUD, Minn. - Interstate 94 is now open after being shut down in both directions just south of St. Cloud following a multi-vehicle crash in a construction zone.
The rollover crash, which happened just before noon near the exit to Opportunity Boulevard, involved at least three vehicles, one of whch is a Kenworth semi which appears to have lost a wheel.
The Minnesota State Patrol was closed I-94 in both directions between Highway 24 in Clearwater to County Road 75 at St. Agusta. Mn/DOT re-opened the highway at 1:20 p.m.
Mn/DOT cameras show traffic backed up for miles in both directions.
Traffic along this stretch of Interstate 94 is already affected by a major construction project that constricts traffic to just one lane in each direction.
At this point it is not clear how many people were injured.
