Minneapolis charter school receives national award

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - A Minneapolis charter school is being recognized for their efforts to close the academic achievement gap.

Best Academy recently received the 2013 COSEBOC School Award, given by the Coalition of Schools Education Boys of Color.

The Best Academy is a charter school serving predominantly African-American boys in grades K-8.

You can celebrate their new award with the school on Friday, May 10 at Heritage Park YMCA.
