ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Minn. -- Human remains were discovered on a mine dump northern Minnesota Saturday, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.
Officials say someone reported finding the remains around noon.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the remains may be of a man who was reported missing from New York last fall.
They say there is no indication of criminal circumstances involving the death.
A spokesperson for the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension confirms BCA agents and crime scene personnel were assisting with a "scene" in St. Louis County Saturday. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
