ROSEVILLE, Minn. - Roseville Police are hoping surveillance photos will help identify a man suspected in the sexual assault of a woman in a mall parking lot.
Squads were called to the Crossroads of Roseville Mall just before 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18. There, they spoke with a 51-year old woman who told them she had exited the mall and was loading items into the trunk of her car when someone approached from behind, grabbed her buttocks and attempted to push her into the trunk.
The victim told officers the suspect then ground his groin into her buttocks. The woman says the suspect only stopped when she began to kick him.
She described the man as a white male, approximately 40-years of age, between five feet nine and five feet 11 inches tall with a heavy build, weighing approximately 175-185 pounds.
The suspect was wearing prescription glasses, a baseball hat and t-shirt, and may have sideburns. Police believe he fled the scene in a dark colored 2-door small to midsize sedan.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Minnesota at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or text-a-tip to "Tips674 plus your tip" to 274637 (CRIMES).
