Daisy Jo Holland
ELK RIVER, Minn. -- Officials say they have found the body of a child matching the description of 2-year-old Daisy Jo Holland who went missing from an Elk River campground on Friday.
Police say dive teams found the body around 2:30 in Elk River several hundred yards downstream from the campsite.
The body has been taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's office for identification and to determine cause of death, according to authorities.
Crews spent Sunday searching the water after an extensive ground search on Saturday. Dogs brought in to help in the search had made strong indications of Daisy's scent near the riverbank.
Elk River Police Chief Brad Rolfe says they had three boat teams on the water doing surface searches with sonar.
Daisy Jo Holland went missing from the Wapiti Park Campground in Elk River while her parents and other adults were setting up their campsite.
