FRIDLEY, Minn. - Fridley Police are looking for as many as six or seven suspects following attacks on two separate joggers Saturday.

Lt. Mike Monsrud says the two joggers, both male, were attacked on a path near East River Road and 37th Avenue Northeast; The first was jumped around 3:30 p.m., the second approximately 20 minutes later.

The victims tell police that their assailants, described as Somali men,  ran up and hit them about the face and head before the runners were able to escape. The crimes are being described as random attacks, and not robbery attempts.

Investigators say the joggers were attacked in an industrial park area, so police have asked the businesses in the area to check for surveillance video.

Anyone with information on the attacks or the suspects is asked to call Fridley police.
