ROCHESTER, Minn. - Smartphones can be helpful in most cases, but sometimes, they can actually do just the opposite.

A new study from the Mayo Clinic finds smartphones are disrupting our sleep

But, there may be a way to check your mobile device in bed and still get a good night's sleep.

Dr. Lois Krahn is a sleep expert at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, who co-authored the study.

Dr. Krahn spoke to KARE 11 Sunrise live from Rochester with more about the study.
