MINNEAPOLIS - Starting today, kids in some areas can get free meals throughout the summer at area schools and parks.
Kids in St. Paul, up to age 18, can get meals at more than 75 locations through August 23rd.
In Minneapolis, there are more than 100 locations for kids to take part.
The Anoka-Hennepin Schools will start offering food on Monday, June 17.
The programs are made possible by the school districts and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Families and children can also call United Way's 2-1-1 information line or text their location to 612-516-FOOD to find meals nearby.
