MINNEAPOLIS - A prosecutor says a former Minneapolis police officer accused of sexually assaulting young girls he met on the internet shouldn't be working at a shopping mall.

Assistant Anoka County Attorney Paul Young has asked a judge to find Bradley Schnickel in violation of his release.

Schnickel works as a security guard for the mall and an apartment building. One of the conditions of his release prohibits him from contact with juvenile females.

The former Minneapolis officer tells the St. Paul Pioneer Press his conduct has not been in conflict with the court's conditions.

The 32-year-old Andover father is accused of soliciting sex online from nearly two dozen young girls in Anoka and Hennepin counties. Prosecutors say in a number of cases, he had sexual contact with the girls.

Investigators say Schnickel posed as a younger man on Facebook, used a fake name and convinced girls as young as 12 and 13 to send him nude photos of themselves. In some cases, they say, he met up with the juveniles and had sexual contact with them.
