STILLWATER, Minn. - It's not your typical crime spree, but Stillwater police are looking for a person-of-interest after a potted plant was taken from the front entrance of a local business.
What appeared to be a gray-haired woman was seen on surveillance video taking a decorative planter from the front door of the Lift Bridge Brewing Co. in Stillwater early Saturday morning.
Brewery co-founder and CEO Dan Schwarz says he reviewed the security video showing this person removing the planter and then driving away in a newer-model, white, four-door GMC/Chevy pickup. The security camera didn't show a license plate.
The planter is believed to weigh about 100 pounds and the cost is estimated at about $125.
"We would love to get it back. In fact, we would probably trade a beer for its return," Schwarz joked.
Authorities say this is the third potted plant to be reported stolen in the area over the last couple of weeks.
The other two were taken from a church in Stillwater. Police have not linked the two incidents.
