DULUTH, Minn. - On June 20, 2012, many residents in the Northland were waking up to historic flooding.
Up to ten inches of rain came down in a short amount of time in Duluth and surrounding areas.
The massive flow of water flooded nearly 2,000 homes in Duluth along.. and caused major infrastructure damage even washing out some roads.
Expense reports from the historic flooding topped $100 million dollars.
Duluth Mayor Don Ness spoke to KARE 11 Sunrise via phone about how the city is faring, now one year later.
