MINNEAPOLIS - Minneapolis Public Schools is cancelling summer school classes at six buildings on Monday due to ongoing power outages.
The power outages will affect Folwell, Lucy Laney, Nellie Stone Johnson, South High School, the Broadway High School summer program at Longfellow and the South Campus Adult Basic Education program located at 2225 East Lake Street.
The cancelations affect about 2,000 students in Minneapolis, officials said.
Sites with power will operate on their normal schedule and provide normal services including summer programming and meal service.
A total of nine district buildings were without power on Sunday night.
Families who are impacted will receive a phone message on Sunday night with cancelation information.
