BURNSVILLE, Minn. - Police in Burnsville are hoping residents can help them catch up with those responsible for a rash of daylight burglaries in that community.

Investigators say approximately ten burglaries have taken place in the southeast area of Burnsville between May 21 and June 26. The suspect or suspects typically go to a residence and knock or ring the doorbell. If there is no response, police say the crooks force entry into the home.

The majority of these burglaries have occurred during daytime hours.

While leads in the case are few, police say the suspect vehicle may be a 1990s red Chevrolet Blazer with three strips of duct tape on the back. The license plate is unknown.

Residents are being advised to call police If someone unexpectedly knocks on your door and they don't have a legitimate reason to be there.

Anyone with information about the recent rash of burglaries or the people behind them are asked to incidents or any other similar incident is asked to call Burnsville Police at 952-895-4690.
