GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn -- The Medtronic Community Foundation is proud to partner with the Alzheimer's Association Minnesota-North Dakota chapter to promote their upcoming walk.
Alzheimer's disease has become the most expensive malady in the nation, with healthcare costs far exceeding those associated with cancer and heart disease. It's the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S.
The Alzheimer's Association Minnesota-North Dakota has provided support services, education and advocacy in our communities for the last 30 years. We offer support groups, care consultations, a 24-hour information helpline, professional and community education, tools for medical professionals, advocacy opportunities and more.
This year's Twin Cities Walk will be held on Saturday, September 21 at Target Field in Minneapolis, and we're extremely excited about the new venue.
Walkers will have the opportunity to explore the ballpark and participate in a number of activities in addition to the Walk itself.
It's a great family event that raises critical funding for research and support services, and it's truly inspiring to see so many Minnesotans join the fight against Alzheimer's.
You can start a team, join a team, or walk as an individual. Find all the details and register at alz.org/walk.
