MINNEAPOLIS -- In Los Angeles, police dressed in full tactical gear faced off against unruly protestors into the night. Earlier, officers wielded nightsticks and shot rubber bullets at people who they say threw bottles at them.
In Oakland It was flag burning to express dismay with the U.S. justice system.
There have been more protests in New York, and other cities across America. Tonight It's Minneapolis' turn.
Brittany Lynch, former Miss Black Minnesota USA said, "I just really feel like justice wasn't served."
She and friends say they are disheartened with George Zimmerman's acquittal in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
"Allowing Zimmerman to get off in a case like this shows that it's okay to target young youth of color and that it's okay to get away with murder."
Organizers will also use tonight's rally to demand more information into the police shooting of local man Terrance Franklin who was killed during an altercation with Minneapolis police this May.
"We're not trying to provoke any violence in the community, nothing like that, we just want to stand our ground and hopefully something positive could come from it," said protestor Keyana Comer.
