MINNEAPOLIS- It was a triple-header Saturday night in downtown Minneapolis.
"It's a very busy place tonight," said Melissa Goettl, of LeCenter, while walking into Target Field to see the Twins play. "But I was torn with the concert going on."
Indeed, Minneapolis was the place to be. It was a sellout crowd for the Twins and Indians game, thousands packed Target Center to see a trio of boy bands and the Aquatennial lineup of events continued in the riverside with live music and the annual "Target Fireworks."
"I missed July Fourth fireworks so I'm excited for this!" said Bev Noble of Apple Valley. "I got a perfect spot for them."
Downtown drew so many people extra Downtown Improvement District Ambassadors were needed to direct folks around.
"I've been a New Kids on the Block fan for years. Tonight is great!" said Jennifer from Plymouth. "I busted out my old T-shirt too!"
