ROLLINSFORD, N.H. - A Minnesota newlywed who was on her honeymoon was killed in a 2-car crash in New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon.

New Hampshire State Police say the crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. on Route 4 in Rollinsford.

A 43-year-old Somersworth, N.H. man left the scene of the crash. He was located later and taken to a hospital in Dover, where he was charged with negligent homicide, felony driving under the influence of alcohol and felony conduct after an accident.

The other car belonged to newlyweds Brian Preiss, 30, and Leah Fonda, 30, both of St. Paul. Fonda was killed in the crash. Preiss suffered what are described as serious injuries. He has been transferred to a hospital in Massachusetts.

Preiss's uncle tells KARE 11 that the couple each worked at the Mall of America's indoor theme park for 12 years. They had just started dating in the last year and got married in Bloomington on July 12.

The couple was on a road trip to Boston for their honeymoon this weekend. Their next stop was supposed to be Niagara Falls.
