CHAMPLIN, Minn. - Four people were injured after a deck collapsed at a Champlin home on Sunday night.

Champlin police said that crews were called to a home on the 12900 block of Monticello Lane at about 8:45 p.m.

Police said that 10 people were on the deck when it broke away from the home falling about 6 to 8 feet.

Four people suffered non-life threatening injuries including three adults and one infant. Three of the injured were taken by ambulance to an area hospital. The injured complained of neck and back pain, police said.

Police said they are not sure what caused the deck to collapse, but they described the deck as being "older."
