Free eye screenings for pre-K before heading to school

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Good sight is essential for kids, especially now that we've enter back to school season.

However, those vision screenings your student may get at school, are not a replacement for an annual exam.

That's why a group of optometrists across the state is offering "free" eye exams to pre-K students who qualify. You can find a participating location by clicking here.

Dr. Mary Gregory with Uptown Eye Care, Monticello visited KARE 11 Sunrise to talk about the importance of eye exams for students.
