MINNEAPOLIS - Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a car that was known to have been in the area of a homicide in south Minneapolis Monday night.

Minneapolis Police released security camera photos of what appears to be a Mercury Grand Marquis or a Ford Crown Victoria with a custom paint job in medium powder blue. The vehicle has no hubcaps.

Officers were called to the area of the 4300 block of 4th Avenue South Monday evening and found a man lying on the ground. The man was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where he later died. Police do not believe the shooting was random.

Anyone with information about this vehicle or the homicide is asked to call 612-692-TIPS (8477).
