MINNEAPOLIS -- Interstate 94 Eastbound is open again after a multiple vehicle accident backed up traffic Saturday morning and forced drivers to use the shoulder to avoid the scene.
The accident happened around 10 a.m. near 42nd Ave. State Patrol says the driver of a pickup truck lost the trailer it was hauling, causing vehicles to swerve to avoid it.
One of the vehicles was a large box truck carrying brush and trees, according to the father of the driver.
The box truck tipped onto its side and crushed a car as it swerved.
Authorities say two people were taken to North Memorial with non-life threatening injuries.
The father of the box truck driver said Sunday that his son is in the hospital with a concussion.
