WASHINGTON, D.C. - When it comes to back to school shopping, most students need a lot of items to get their backpacks ready to go.
Now, a growing number of parents say they are also buying more supplies for their child's classroom.
95% of parents say during the last few years, they've had to buy everything from papers and pencils, to cleaning products for the school.
It seems the growing demand on parent purchases, is due to classroom budget cuts.
RetailMeNot.com, the most widely used coupon website, conducted the back to school parent survey.
Trae Bodge, the Senior Editor for the website spoke with KARE 11 Sunrise to talk about the purchasing trend.
