GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - This weekend in St. Paul, everyone gets to be Irish!

The Irish Fair of Minnesota is setting up shop on St. Paul's Harriet Island , starting Friday, August 9.

KARE 11 Sunrise got an early jump on the festivities!

Mike Wiley, Vice Chair/Entertainment Director of the fair, stopped in the studio to talk about the weekend, and brought with him The Screaming Orphans band.

This weekend is the band's debut at the festival.

They will also play at the Irish Fair Kick-Off party, a fundraiser to keep the Irish Fair FREE. That is Thursday, Aug. 8 from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. at the Morrisey Pub Tent on Harriet Island.

Tickets for the fundraiser at $25 at the door, and include all of your beverages.
