MINNEAPOLIS - Minnesota lottery officials say the state's winning Powerball jackpot ticket was sold in Anoka County.
Minnesota had a single winning ticket for the $448 million jackpot, with two others sold in New Jersey. The Anoka County store where the ticket was sold has not been announced.
Lottery officials say a man from Minnesota has called their office Thursday morning but they are still in the process of verifying the ticket at this time.
Spokeswoman Debbie Hoffmann says it's Minnesota's 22nd jackpot winner in the big game. Hoffmann says the state's big jackpot winners have typically waited about a week before contacting lottery officials.
The last Powerball jackpot in Minnesota was won in August of 2011.
Hoffman says winners usually take an immediate payout rather than installments over time. The Minnesota share in a lump sum would be $86 million before taxes.
The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night were: 05, 25, 30, 58, 59 and Powerball 32.
