MINNEAPOLIS - Five passengers were injured Thursday afternoon when the Pedal Pub they were riding tipped over while navigating a turn.
Minneapolis Police were called to the scene at approximately 2:15 p.m. Paramedics evaluated passengers for injuries and transported two to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown. The other three had minor injuries.
"We came around the corner. and we were going too fast, and it just tipped over," said passenger Martin Hamilton.
Another passenger, James Walker, said the Pedal Pub was coming down a hill near the intersection of South First Street and South Fifth Avenue when it lost control on the turn.
Minneapolis Police spokesperson Cyndi Barrington said that accidents like this are rare, and that speed was likely a factor in this accident.
