GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Minnesota's wine industry is getting better with age.

Wine is becoming a success here thanks to cold-tolerant grapes that the U of M helped develop.

At the University of Minnesota Friday, several local wines will go up against hundreds of others from around the globe in a taste test.

Katie Cook, wine scientist at the U of M, took over the KARE kitchen on KARE 11 Sunrise talk about the International Cold Climate Wine Competition.
